 Great topper
MX Series : Toyota Tundra

This is my third ARE topper in 30 years. I have used my topper for hunting. . .elk, deer, birds. I keep my dogs in their kennels in the topper. They are very valuable animals and I try to keep them as comfortable as possible. I have hauled elk and deer in the truck, with the topper, to the meat processor for years. The toppers have all been excellent over the years. I would highly recommend ARE.

NO MORE CUSTOMER SERVICE - DO NOT BUY
CXR Series : Toyota Tundra

I have owned ARE caps for over 18 years as well as all of my business partners. We are a manufacturer's rep firm and need an enclosed truck bed for sample products. In the past, ARE had amazing customer service. Now there is ZERO customer service. I waited two months for the cap to arrive and when it was installed, it did not fit the truck bed front to rear. In order to align the rear glass such that it would close, the front of the cap came up short of the bed such that a hand could be placed between them. Upon repositioning the cap forward, the glass door does not align and is difficult to operate. The bug screens for the side windows did not appear to exist but upon closer inspection, they simply were retracted and not connected to the sliding side windows. I had to remove the pet screen to find this and attach them. Then the front fold down sliding window would not close. The sliding window was held gapped open by the weather stripping. After futzing with it for a while, I got the glass to close but it is not sliding open. The Yakima Skyline roof rack rails whistle in the wind because they were not shipped with the rubber channel inserts. After the first rain, there was a puddle in the truck bed as the side window leaks. Apparently my dealer only has the option of emailing with ARE / Real Truck. It takes days to get a reply. After several weeks, the dealer let me know that ARE said I should email ARE using the support@ email address. I did and received a non-sense reply about my order being cancelled. I replied asking what they meant. The reply from ARE was that ARE had a network of dealers around the country and I should reach out to one of them. I then called my dealer again who said that they would try to get in touch with ARE. Another two weeks go by and I sent a note to my dealer that I would be coming to them in two days for a full refund if I did not have a plan of resolution. A day later they replied that there is not a refund on special order items but that I should bring in the vehicle and leave it with them. We will see if they end up finding out how to stretch a fiberglass cap to make it actually fit a 2025 Tundra. To top it all off, the cost of the cap has gone up significantly more than the average inflation of items. It is quite disappointing when a great company is swallowed up by a big distributor who has no clue as to the fact that great service is why they had loyal customers like me.

So the cap was just installed so I can't give much of a rating. I will say it's been raining every day since install and the bed is dry so that's a win! Looks great and matches my Tundra's paint perfectly. The interior lights look great. Global Truck Outfitters did a great install job.
