 Disappointing Fit
CX Classic : Chevy/GMC Silverado/Sierra

After providing the dealer with my specs and VIN, the topper did not properly fit my 2024 Silverado. On either side of the corner where the bottom of the topper meets the tailgate corners, there is raw fiberglass where either the dealer or ARE had to "modify" it to fit. When I asked the dealer, they said they don't do that, even though fiberglass dust was on the tailgate. If they didn't modify it, then it's a sad statement as to the "craftmanship" of ARE's products. I would love to post photos, which I did on Google for Blue Ribbon Auto Body in Missoula

 CX Classic Cap

My wife & I replaced a 19 year old Covermasters cap that we purchased when we bought the truck in 2005. The CX Classic cap was just installed yesterday by Beach Auto Outfitters. The fit on the truck and the finish of the cap is very good. We had a decent amount of rain last night and I see no water leaks on my existing bed rug. If you live in the Tidewater area of Virginia, I highly recommend visiting Beach Auto Outfitters. They are extremely customer service focused and A.R.E. is fortunate having them as a distributor.

 ARE CX CLASSIC PROBLEMS

I cannot honestly recommend ARE to my friends or family. I ordered my cap on 6/19/2024 and it took approximately 5 weeks to deliver, which was expected. When it was delivered it was missing the window corners on the right side. The dealer had them sent and installed them. I had to return my cap because the rear door did not properly open/close, and it did not fit the tail gate of my truck. The same truck that the VIN# was used to make it. This resulted in a lot of water entering the rear of my truck, which defeats the purpose of the cap. 12 weeks have passed since I PAID for my cap and to this day, I do not have a cap on my truck because it is still at ARE. Nothing has been offered to make things right except "send it back". I tried calling ARE with no luck and no call back. I would like to request that a Customer Service manager contact me at the email address on file. If you leave a phone number, I will call you back. Just for the record this is not my first truck cap.
