 Poor finish
CX Evolve : Ford F150

Hi , got my bed topper this week after a 14 week wait . My prior cap / top was a Leer , I wanted a better solution to the rear glass door and the Evolve seemed to do that for my new Ford truck . This top fits good and the function should better accommodate me but .... after paying a upcharge for the tricoat paint on my particular truck along with a price of over 3 thousand dollars for the topper I am not at all happy with the finish . Ive found at least two spots with bubble imperfections and a person would only assume that the bottom lips of the cap that meet the bed body along the sides would be fully painted also ?? I can see white all long where the cap meets with the trucks body ...truth is my last truck cap , the leer this wasn't noticeable . Overall my feeling is the cap you sold me at a price of over 3 grand with taxes and also a surcharge for the tri coat paint the finish should be flawless . Regards , Jeff Saylor

 Sooooo Not Happy
CX Evolve : Ford Ranger

I purchased an ARE CX Evolve for my 2020 Ranger. I had to bring it back to the dealer because the lights were not wired correctly. Then I had to bring it back again because it was leaking. It was my opinion that the cap was not installed correctly and pointed this out to the dealer. He ignored me and reinstalled the cap. The Cap still leaked. I was convinced the cap was not installed correctly( not sitting right on the bed) I contacted ARE on their FB page with a picture that anyone at ARE and anyone with any knowledge of truck caps could tell was not seated correctly. The response was, I can’t tell from one close up picture blah blah blah, contact our consumers affairs division. I contacted them with multiple pictures and a video. Their/your response was “send me the serial number and I’ll forward it to the techs”. I did that, then was totally ignored. ARE contacted the dealer without answering my simple question. I already told ARE that the cap was installed incorrectly twice but they refused to answer me. I also asked about drill holes in the side rail decks which they did tell me was from shipping, this was when I was at the dealer yet again to have the cap reinstalled. They advised me to keep that appt. The dealer finally listened to me and installed the cap correctly, however, it still leaks and I will do everything in my power to tell everyone I can about the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my 56 years. My leaking ARE evolve cap cost me 3200 plus dollars, 4 trips to the dealer at 72 round trip miles and approximately 13 of my life hours I will never get back and I never even received a “I’m/we’re sorry” everyone that sees my cap will know what I experienced and I will spread the word for as long as this miserable cap is on my truck!!

 Back glass is horrible
CX Evolve : Toyota Tacoma

I like the idea of the back window. Streamlined look, one handle operation, is honestly what made me chose ARE over other brands. But it has fallen far short of ideal and I'm 2nd guessing my purchase. It can't be aligned well and it doesn't open far enough. I can't tell you how many people have hit their heads on the latches of the window. It has even drew blood a few times. ARE needs to redesign this window or offer customers a better option. If the tried and true back glass on the Z could be installed on the CX that would be a huge leap forward. Or if the Z could be equipped with windoors that would also be a solution.
