The first one came in damaged , the liner was not complete on interior and the workmanship was very inferior. Holes drilled twice for rear window. The installers should be trained to install accessories properly. The jet rack was a complete mystery to the fellow who installed mine. The build quality is good. This is my third A.R.E top. My major complaint is with A.R.E, their customer service is horrible. I’ve have spent 3-4 hours on hold with their customer service and still haven’t talked with anyone from A.R.E. The only reason I purchased the top from them is because they make quality tops. I have some other issues. My key doesn’t always work in the back door all the time. Also, the way that the top fits rubbed the paint off of my tailgate. I really don’t have the time to deal wih going back to the place that installed it for a third time. I am deducting 2 stars for the manufacturer. Why? I think the building process needs to slow down and give more attention to detail. I have noticed some of the sealer applied was over applied. Writing and chaulk dust inside the camper during build that was not removed. Top skin is actually 2 pieces and the seam is offset to center. I think this should have been 1 complete piece being on the roof. Some of the white plastic moulding was not trimmed off also. The third break light is stick on and actually started leaking after the first week. Called the dealer and at his own expense resealed the light. Topper looks great and functions perfectly I just wonder how long the seam in the roof will hold. I purchased a ARE due to seeing many service companies using them over the years.
