 Great cap, but not perfect.
DCU Series : Toyota Tacoma

I needed a secure and dry storage option for my truck bed and this fit the bill. In terms of its fit and finish, this is definitely the best contractor cap out there, and IMHO it also is the best looking (if you go for the utilitarian thing). That said, its not perfect. Definitely either get the interior skinned or plan on skinning them your self. If you do neither, you'll inevitably get some dings in the aluminium from your load shifting on the inside. There are some gaps between the cap and the bed rail on the side closest to the cab. The installer used some sort of putty to take care of this - time will tell how well that holds up. I think a gasket would have been better. The alignment of the roof rack to the cap isn't great, and the welds are kind of rough. I'll definitely be taking care not to overload this, and I won't ratchet down my load as tight as I would on a TracRac. On balance I think it's a great cap, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Very pleased overall. Cap required some minor trim modification to avoid having the kargomaster rack rub the cap. The full length side doors are a huge help to access the truck bed.

My A.R.E. topper for shoeing horses
DCU Series : Ford Super-Duty

I bought my A.R.E. DCU from Socal Trucks in Santee California. It was so easy to order it and it's exactly what I wanted! The turn around time after I custom ordered it was only 3 weeks considering it was shipped from back east. I shoe horses for a living and if I had to buy a "shoein" topper from a company that exclusively builds them for shoein I'd pay 4 times the amount I paid for my A.R.E. I'm very excited to set up my topper and start being more efficient in my line of work. Thanks A.R.E. and Socal Truck!
