I was able to customize the side compartments to the shelving that I wanted which keeps my tools and materials out of the bed of the truck and eye level when I open the side doors. I also have the integrated ladder rack on top which I carry all of my EMT pipe and an occasional ladder. The truck I was given was used and had some dents on the side rails which did not hinder the functionality of the topper at all, very pleased. I was inpressed how good the fit was in the back with the tailgate removed. Overall function is good, I wish the locks were not directly under the T/handle of the doors. so as you have to lift the handle to lock the doors? A couple of sharp places of aluminum I had to cut and file down on the inside, but not a big deal. Just the assembler got rushed and didn't take the time to trim it.. I figured.. Remember details count. Overall I am satisfied with the product,, it has been great to have it during the past couple of weeks.
