I really like my DCU in the warm weather but as soon as the temperature drops below 50 degrees the tailgate door won't stay up.
This is not the first time I've had a problem with the gas struts the hold the door open. Approximately a month and a half ago I called my dealer and told him of my problem. I gave him the serial # on the cap and also told him that the gas struts were rated at 97 lbs. He contacted A.R.E. and was sent a new pair of struts, but they were the wrong size and he had to order another set.
Aside from the problem with the struts the cap is great. I've had many friends and customers comment on how nice it looks and the way A.R.E. allowed me to customize the cap with door configuration, shelving, ladder rack,etc. it really is an asset to my business.
