 Roof rack is substandard

The optional roof rack on the CX HD is unusable. The front cross bar is at least half an inch or more lower than the rear one. Anything longer than about six feet would hit the satellite radio antenna. any cargo longer than that would actually hit the cab roof. This is an obvious design and manufacturing error. The paint match is perfect and the installation was fast and professional. Too bad about the roof rack.

The quality was very good. I like the flip up sides with the slider as I may use this truck for an occasional camping trip. Tools are very accessible trough the flip up sides.The Topper Shop in Greenville, Michigan did a very good job of installation. My only complaint is that I was not informed that the flip-up window could not be installed between the cap and the truck as the HD supports are in the way. Instead ARE installed a standard inoperable window, I would have preferred a standard slider but was not contacted.

The good: I have the MX style HD cap on my 2016 Chevy 3500HD. It has the LED lighting, pet screens and double handle lock options. The roof rack handles the heavy stuff with ease. Fit to the truck bed is good. The Bad: The fiberglass job on the inside is a bit rough (loose fibers and resin in some corners like it wasn't rolled in very well when wet). The cutouts at the back door have some cutting imperfections (like someone missed with the router when trimming). Functionally a good working cap; finish could be a bit better.
