I use my top to transform my truck into an overnight camper for short trips. Combined with the Bed Rug, it works great in all kinds of weather. Just wish I could figure out how to fit a bathroom in there.

Great quality camper shell. Color matched perfect. Fit is great for 2012 F-250 with step gate. Looks really good on truck. Plenty of head room inside. 2 LED lights inside give plenty of light inside bed at night. If you have the step gate on Ford Super Duty, the attachment around tailgate is not 100% sealed when closed, but I have not had any problems with leaking.

I drove 70 miles round trip to pick out and order the cap. Then another 70 miles to find out that the cap did not match the color of the back walk-in door when it arrived three weeks later. This delayed me leaving on vacation since the top and back door had to be sent back to the factory to be repainted. Four weeks later, the cap and door came back in and I got it installed. I left that night in a bad rain storm planning on camping out six weeks. The next morning, I drove back home because my sleeping bag was wet from the rain running into the bed of my pick-up truck and also the door gasket fell out of the door. The old gasket was installed back onto the door and a new gasket order because the old gasket was stretched to tight thus pulling itself out as I drove. I slept in the truck for six weeks and came back home for a doctors appointment. Today, I had the new gasket installed and will find out in January when I go on a two months vacation how the new gasket works. As I travel, cooked my meals and slept under the cap, I enjoyed camping with the A.R.E. walk in door cap. Getting in and out of the walk-in door is a minor challenge for a 71 year old man other wise I would recommend the walk-in door for anyone considering camping in their pick-up truck. The door gasket is the only weak in the cap that I seam so far.
