However, the standard side windows are no longer tapered and thus need a black factory sticker to fill in the void against the fiberglass window cut-out. Windows are the same as they were on my 1983 A.R.E. cap and I think they should have improved over the last 31 years. Also, I do not like plastic rear window tailgate overhang. Rather than spec. the rear window frame to accommodate the newer truck tailgates......the 1983 window returns with a cheap feeling plastic bump-out riveted to bottom of rear window door frame. I have not one complaint. Looks great no leaks does just what I bought it for keeping my things secure and dry while I am on the road. I have a big horn dodge truck diesel fuel and with this on the back of it, it looks like a large SUV. MX Series : Chevy/GMC Silverado/Sierra June 12, 2014    Posted by: Gabe After doing quite a lot of research on truck cap manufacturers, I purchased, what I believe is the best manufactured cap out of all of them. The MX seems to be a very solid cap and the fit and finish are outstanding. The only thing that I would have ordered differently would have been the pet screens for the side windows (That is my own fault, not the manufacturer's). The MX may have cost a little more than the competition, but it seems well worth it. I opted for the twin rope lights and also the prop activated light in the rear of the cap, as well as the Yakima Roof Rack. The carpeted interior is another plus, and, since it was a free limited time add on, I couldn't go wrong. I plan on adding a Roof Basket to complete the cap.
