I'd wanted to get one of these for a while but wondered if I would miss out on the utility of my existing rack....and I now wish I'd done this sooner. It's so easy to access the bed without climbing in and better yet, "out of sight, out of mind". The security aspects now allow me to not have to park strategically to keep my truck in sight, not so easy with a big truck (Ram 2500 crew cab long bed). I put three Yakima bars up top and they're doing just fine. The fit and finish is quite good, the paint match is equally good (despite the truck being almost ten years old). The staff at Suburban Toppers made for a good purchase experience and their installation was also good and timely, just as scheduled. I recommend A.R.E. and Suburban Toppers without hesitation.

I was in the market for a new truck cap but have not purchased one in some time. There seems to be no shortage of manufacturers out there. After researching and talking to people I decided my new cap should be an A.R.E. I have had others long ago in the past (remember Brahma?) but this is by far the best fitting and best paint match I have ever gotten. The cap fits nicely, complements the lines of my truck, and is very well constructed. I had one small issue with my rear logo decal coming off when I purchased it, I figured it may have been displaced during shipping, but a quick email to A.R.E. and they are sending a new one out. 4 stars for customer service, which seems to be a rarity these days, A.R.E. really stepped up to the plate. Highly recommend.

Since I want to use the cap for camping, I wish it was two inches higher. Isn't that always the case? I do wish the customer had a tracking number where I could have followed its progress to the dealer's lot. I got the impression that the dealer did not want to track it for me. The cap itself is fine, as expected.
