MX Series : Toyota Tacoma November 30, 2012    Posted by: Bummed in MN I was 30 minutes late due to traffic on I494 and got a phone call from Toppers and More informing me I lost my chance to receive my expedited (xtra cost) order and was told I would have to wait until next week to reschedule my install. I had my truck all ready by removing my temp tonneau, removed my tailgate for walk-in door. ran DC power all in vain and had to reassemble my temporary tonneau/tailgate for my working weekend. This will be my second MX with privacy windows, Walk-in, headliner etc. to replace my 2002 unit which was totaled in September. The design of the Tacoma changed in 2005 so starting over with a new one was my only option. I really liked my old MX so going for a new one was an easy choice. I forgot over the last 10 years how difficult the dealer can be. I'm sure once I do get it, The new rig will be awsome. PROP LIGHT, FABRIC HEADLINER AND FABRIC LINED DOOR. I FEEL THAT THE DEALER, TRUX OUTFITTERS IN ITHACA, NEW YORK, TOOK THEIR TIME AND PROPERLY INSTALLED MY CAP ON MY TRUCK. THE ONLY PROBLEM THAT I ENCOUNTERED WAS THAT THE BATTERY OPERATED PROP LIGHT DID NOT COME WITH (3.) AAA BATTERIES. BUT, ONCE I INSTALLED SOME BATTERIES THE LIGHT WORKED PERFECTLY. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY A.R.E. TRUCK CAP AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH A.R.E. AND TRUX OUTFITTERS TO ANYONE IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW TRUCK CAP. OH, I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE FACT THAT YOU CAN EASILY LOCK YOURSELF INSIDE THE PICKUP BED OF THE TRUCK ONCE YOU HAVE GONE IN THROUGH THE WALK-IN DOOR BY JUST LOOPING A STRAP OVER THE INTERIOR DOOR LATCHING MECHANISM. THAT FEATURE IS REALLY NICE IF YOU ARE SLEEPING IN THE BED OF YOUR TRUCK.
