The fit and finish was great and all hardware functioned as designed. The bad news, over time, the cap tended to rack a little bit putting friction on the weather seal causing it to separate from the door. Over 5 years, for a door that got a lot of use, this isn't too bad. My only other complaint was that the door wasn't secure enough to contain bigger loads. 2 or 3 times when the load shifted in the bed and slid against the hatch, the door latches (on the whole hatchback) gave way spilling my load on the road. I don't know if there's a solution for this with a hatchback on a cap. More secure latching mechanism would be a good improvement. With the full back door open I have an electric lift that picks the chair up and sits it in the P/U where I use bungie cords to better secure it. The whole process takes about two minutes to unload or load. We have made several trips covering thousands of miles and kept everything in it dry. The only trouble I have had with the topper is the window on top. When it was three years old I noticed a leak and discovered the window on top was loose. The screws holding it were very loose. So I now keep a check on it. If I could improve anything it would be taking that window out. It serves no purpose but can cause problems with leaking. I bought the truck new and the topper new a year later. The color matches perfectly.
