 MX HD Leaks for Weeks - still unresolved

I ordered this on 4/12/2024, installed on 8/2/2024, leaks from the roof rack mount welds were fixed on 8/16/2024. However, water still leaks somewhere. Dealer and I are waiting for a replacement toolbox door and hoping that is the final solution. I can't keep any gear stored without it getting wet as the bed rail and bed rug distribute water leaked through the truck bed. After 4-5 months of waiting and $6100, my solution is still keeping gear in totes... I've missed using this for 2 trip deadlines and doubtful it will be fixed before my October trip. I should have saved $5k and went with a bed cover. Very poor product quality I do not recommend!

The finish and fit of the cap looks super nice but the windows don't slide very good. Also some of the screws were overtightened causing the frame of windows to dent in. Not sure if this is why the windows don't slide easily or maybe it just has to do with newness.Overall it's a good solid topper

 My second ARE truck cap
MX Series : Ford F150

I recently purchased my second ARE truck cap for my second Ford F-150 SX truck. I previously had the same style top on my 2003 F-150 Ford Lariat for 13 years with out any problems at all. I knew when I purchased my latest 2011 Ford F-150 SX I would top it off with another ARE top. I fly radio controlled airplanes and needed all the extra space I could get and that's why I chose the MX series with the higher space at the rear. I also chose the double locks as well as the drop-down window, which makes it possible for me to clean my back glasses. I'm sure I'll be as satisfied with this purchase as I was with my previous top.
