I purchased my ARE mx series cap in the summer of 1997 for my new Ford f250hd 4x4 7.3 long bed . The cap was rock solid for over 10 years .one day while highway driving I noticed the cap was bouncing off the bed rails an inch or two near the back of the truck when I hit some bumps in the road .when I got home I noticed the fiberglass cap was not attached to the metal side rails anymore and could be partially lifted off without unbolting it .I fixed it & it lasted many years. Recently the back bottom metal corners fell off while driving and one of the side window pillars fell off causing the stationary glass to slide back about 6". Anyway the cap was now almost 20 years old. 235,000 miles. then while cleaning out my glove box I found my original receipt and the sales brochure. It said my cap has a lifetime warranty for the frame separation problem I was having. WOW ! So the place I bought it from was now a tile store .I found another dealer on the ARE website. East neck auto on route 109 in w.babylon NY. Mike there contacted ARE, then made pick up arrangements. They removed my cap and sent it to ARE for warranty repairs. A few weeks later Mike called and told me they couldn't fix my cap so they sent me a new one. Amazing !! Not many companies stand behind their products like this anymore .great job and thank you very much ARE .you are now on my very short elite list of American companies that stand behind their products. Weber bbq, air lift suspension products and ARE .
