Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

First off, I am very pleased with my shell - looks great and fits almost perfect! Everything about the shell was as expected with a couple minor yet seemingly obvious things that I feel should be addressed. First, the electronics attached to the inside of the shell on the drivers side next to the camper shell hatch door (the rope lights and power outlets are connected to it). This electronic junction works fine, however the cover on it is flimsy. It does not stay on, and I had to tape it with electrical tape to keep it on. This shell is only a few weeks old. Second, when the hatch door of the shell is closed, the window protrudes past the shell frame when looking at it from the side...this seems odd...The installer moved the shell back a bit on the truck rails, and it helped a little, but still the window does not sit flush with the sides of the shell. He recommended that we not move the shell back further as it would stick back too far past the truck rails. 3rd, and this is just a suggestion; The recessed clothes hangers...plastic? How long are those going to last? I would thing these would be metal. Worrying about how many articles of clothing I hang on them this not be one of my concerns...sure, you shouldn't be hanging 50lbs of clothing on them, but plastic bends. Well, you get the point. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase, I just wish I was blown away instead of just pleased...
