V Series Truck Caps Overall 4.0 of 5 Fit: 2.5 of 5 Finish: 3.0 of 5 Function: 3.5 of 5 Performance: 3.0 of 5   Not what I expected V Series : Ford F150 August 09, 2015    Posted by: NB4RJ Overall, the top is very nice, however when I originally questioned the sales team, I was told the V series would come as an over the rail and cover the black plastic bed caps so they would not be seen. It indeed does not cover them and sits on top Not what I was after, 2nd after the top was installed and they cut one of my bed caps to get the clamp on without my knowledge I noticed the door sits uneven, it actually comes down further on one side over the tail gate than the other side and appears to be slanted down hill toward the passenger side of the truck. Many gaps under the cap and the bed where water can get in and daylight can be seen. It originally had a LSII tonneau. The LSII was outstanding, But we needed more storage capacity. We ordered it with the carpeted liner and front tilt out front window - both great options. While the dealer did another great installation, I noticed fingerprints in the clear coat around the corners of the topper, which the dealer polished out when I took it back to them.
