Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

Purchased truck cap for 2016 F150. Was told 4-6 weeks and ended up being 9 weeks before installed. Had to pay over 4000.00 up front for ARE to send it and match colors. Went to pickup and looked good from outside however the company that installed it didnt even wipe it off and had to get it washed and waxed. When I did get it washed I noticed it leaked inside. Also noted alot of other things when I got in there to find the leak. The strip lighting on ceiling was crooked and highly noticeable. It was off by 5 1/2 inches. The sliding fold down window was screwed in so tight the whole frame was bent and damaged. Also the carpeting in the corners were cut and all the seems showed and werent glued down properly. The craziest thing I saw was there were 4 wholes in the carpeting near each clamp the size of a quarter? I thought the installer screwed into my bed for some dumb reason. When asked they told me thats from ARE transporting them there, the way they hold them down on there delivery truck. Probably the dumbest thing I ever saw. Putting wholes in brand new cap for tranporting and not even attempting to cover them or fix it. I took back and the distributor tryed to fix the problems however still leaks and really smells like cat piss inside. ARE shouldnt even be in business if this is the product they put out. I choose to try something new and got screwed . I Use another cap on all of my worktrucks and will be going back to them. Live and Learn
