Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

This is the second cap i have had from ARE. Both with same problem of clear coat flaking off. I have one on a 2003 and purchazed within 6 months of purchasing this truck brand new. Clear coat starting flacking after about 10-12 yrs. A.R.E. repainted cap and have had no problem with it since. I do still have this truck. Ppirchased a 2006 brand new also and purchszed another new cap from you. Again after 15 yrs or so it started flaking just as the first one did. Brought it back, thinking it would be repainted due to the warranty saying paint wiuld be good as long as i own the truck and as long as the paint on that truck lasts. Truck paint is still in good shape, but they said they couldn't do warranty because of neglect. How that is i'm not sure but the cap was washed and waxed every ttime the truck was. Never again will i purchase anything at all from these new owners nor will anyone i know unless they want a fake lifetime warranty. Social media is wonderful for exposing these types of people. Anyone that reads this, don't buy it, they will not honor your warranty. A.R.E. will probably not post this because they will deem it "inappropriate" just like they said this truck cap was because of neglect.
