I bought a tail gate seal that I hope will fix this. The rear light on top had wires hanging down from the light fixture: The wires could have been trucked away under the carpet. The front corners of the cap cut in a bit too sharply. I wanted a top of the line cap, but could only get the solid side and rear doors with the V series. I understood it would not be a svelte as the top of the line, but it is ok. I previously had a Leer top of the line but I actually like this a bit better, even though another brands fit was better. I would give this A.R.E. The install was very fast and professional. The topper looks great on my truck and the paint matches rather well. It seems to be made quite well and fits snuggly on my truck. All the locks and windows work as they should. So far I'm very pleased with the topper and look forward to many years with it. V Series : July 06, 2020    Posted by: Erich It's hard to find any reviews for ARE truck caps on the internet. Let's see if this one makes it through. When you receive your cap you will find the paint finish will have circle marks marks on it from a jig in production, they will never go away. You will also likely note other imperfections, especially the buffing marks they make that will never go away. But, the disappointing factor is the corrosion around the doors due to poor coating process of the aluminum frame. I have corrosion growing around my side door and seals and running onto my trucks paint.
