It was not like the one pictured in the ARE brochure. All the shells pictured in the brochure show a raised reinforced bed, around the entire bottom edge. It gives the look of a sturdy, well made shell. This feature makes ARE stand above the competition. But my shell doesn't have that. In fact, it looks like an imitation "LEER". The aluminum window frames have screws that are installed at an angle, which looks like sloppy craftsmanship. The overall length is 1/2" short of fitting all the way forward on my truck bed. The carpet headliner has voids where it's not seated in the corners, rather stretched over the radius. My first one was on a 2013 F150. I traded in March on a new 2018 F150. On both vehicles the fit and finish was perfect. Thought it was normal at first until I opened the other side and it opened all the way. Come to find out after further inspection the channel the window slides down is bent preventing it from going forward. There's some marks on it indicating it was damaged during installation. I inspected further and noticed the window is missing 4 screws. The outside of the window has a strange black marking in one spot as well. Almost looks like glue or some resin.
