This is a good looking truck cap, very easy on the eye. The e-lock makes it easy to get into and the rope light is the way to go on the early morning at the boat ramp. It sure makes the truck look good.

Looks great on the new Colorado, but sloppy finish leaves something to be desired

First thoughts - this fits and looks fantastic on the Colorado Crewcab with the short bed. It really does a good job giving the "SUV" look. Everything feels solid and looks great. The carpeted ceiling, clothes hangers, and rope lighting are all perfect. Only reason I won't give it 5 stars were some small issues that I noticed, 1) The end caps for the yakima rails don't sit flush on the roof. Not a major problem, but for what I paid it looks poorly fitted. 2) The inside window weather stripping was not uniformly secured and DOES leak. Also not what I would expect from such an expensive top. 3) The keyless entry works only about 50% of the time. Sometimes I hear it click but it will just not unlock without the key. 4) Lastly, no effort was made to clean to top before I got it. So there was a lot of sticky grime on the glass and spots on the paint that I think should've been removed prior to shipment or delivery. One more thing - I never received any paperwork or warranty info along with my top. This was probably dealer related but seems sloppy for such an expensive item.

 The top that protects.
Z Series : Ford F150
December 10, 2016    Posted by: Rosie
For the last 30 years we've owned trucks. All of them sported a top. The Chevy S10 had a poor excuse for a top. Our 1997 Ford 150 XLT first top cracked and pealed from high winds in 2008. The next top, a LEER, provided the best protection for the tools used in managing property. We felt it was the top of the line but I think this top has it beat. The carpeted top and the excellent fit quiets many of the road noises we noticed before the top was placed on the truck. After the top was installed, I checked the website for information about the top. I learned we could have had a remote lock with the top. Sorry that was not given to us.
