You get what you pay for and even though A.R.E. toppers may cost more than other makes they are a better value for their design and build quality. My Z topper has the tilt down window, side slider, auto lock, led lights and Yakima rack. The design and fit are great on my 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat. The rear window is also well fit for the wide tailgate equipped with the safety step. This is my 2nd ARE topper and my first topper is 8 years old and still looks good and works properly.

I had the top-of-the-line cap from another brand on my '03 Dodge Dakota for the past 13+ years that looked fine and functioned mostly well, but when I started shopping for a new truck, I decided to see what else was available. I'm glad I did! After some internet research, and upon the the advice of my local truck accessories shop (who also sells the other brand), I went with the ARE Z Series for my new Chevy Colorado LT Midnight Edition. I couldn't be happier. The build quality, finish, and fit on my truck are perfect, and the interior, hinges, and latch are far superior to what I had before. I added a couple options like the fold-down sliding window and my favorite: the LED rope light (single strand), which lights up the entire bed for night loading/unloading (I'm a musician, so that's frequent). All in all, I love this cap, and it's the perfect match for the special order truck I waited 8 weeks for!
