 Great Cap

This replaced a hard Tonno cover so I could fit more protected cargo in my truck bed. Pros: The OTR black finish is superb makes the cap look like it was OEM installed, overall the truck looks great with it on. The OTR finish makes it very strong, no flexing in the panels. Although I did not get a rack with this, I am certain it would hold one firmly along with cargo. Single rope light with tilt switch is great and provides plenty of light. The cap improved my handling and mileage on the highway. Highly recommend the BedRug or BedRug Mat. Cons: Front tilt down window was poorly installed, screw missing, screws over-driven, rolled seal on glass. Fixed the seal, and nothing leaks so I am Ok with it. Took off 1/2star and 1 point for forward window issues. Had to readjust the rear window rigging as it wasn't sealing right (very minor issue, easily fixed).

I'm very happy with my new ARE Z2. Excellent quality, perfect fit and features. My last 3 caps were Leer brand. ARE customer service is excellent. Thank you, ARE!

I have purchased 3 ARE bed covers and spent almost $10,000 and each has had nothing but problems. 1) The cap leaked and had to be sent back twice 2) the cover was delivered in December but was not covered or wrapped when it arrived the inside lining was covered with salt and dirt. The window shocks, light, lock cable all rusted by spring and I had to replace them all at a cost o another $500. When I talked with ARE customer service they told me that it was "my problem since they did not guarantee the delivery condition 3) The last one delive3d a month ago had been damaged by what I suspect was their forklift when loading. The bent the front sliding window frame and now it leaks and need to be replaced. NEVER NEVER AGAIN. This has coccured over 10 years and there seems to be no end to their lax quality standards. BE AWARE !!!!
