 Nice cap, poor paint.

Nice cover. Well designed and has first class hardware. Second Z series I have owned. The second cover had a horrible paint job with gelcoat showing through the paint on two sides. Took two trips back to the factory to fix it.

Z Series : Toyota Tacoma

I read great reviews and have friends that recommeded A.R.E. canopies. So I purchased a top of the line Z series canopy for my 2013 Tacoma. Fit and finish are excellent. Quality and workmanship is questionalbe. Less than a week after installation, the friggen window FELL OFF THE CANOPY!!! I was shocked and very thankfull it didn't happen moments prior (On the freeway going 65 MPH) and cause a serious accident. I took it to the dealer and they ordered a new window frame assembly. I was told 2-3 weeks to get the window, which seemed excessive. Appearantly,the glue used to hold the window in the frame was.....poorly done. I question the remaining window assemblies and am extremely worried about it holds up in the the long run.

 Good Thing

The speed of manufacturing and delivery were top notch. Upon closer inspection of the product at time of delivery it was apparent that quality control final inspection of little things like: some type of adhesive on the inside of the windows. 2 screws missing from rear window inside trim. Just a few little things that should have been found before leaving the factory.The paint seems to be a perfect match.
