I like the look of the new Z series cap. I am not pleased with the latching handle as I think it will be a problem when we get freezing rain in the winter. The lock should also have a cover to protect the mechanism from winter salt. These exposed locks malfunction once they are exposed to winter road salt after a while. My old Fibrobec cap had the same problem. There should also be a better area/handle to grab when you open or close the back window. You currently have a plastic strip that your hand instinctively wants to grab. My dealer told me not to use the strap as a handle because it can break easily. Better material or a grab handle should have been used. This cap cost me $3500 and I expected better craftsmanship on the issues listed above. Thanks

Though I've only had this cap for a couple of months, it serves my needs quite well. It's been through several heavy rainstorms, nary a sign of dampness inside the bed. As I will be moving long distance, carrying household goods, that CAN"T get wet, that's a plus. Also, the color match is perfect & the gelcoat is smooth.
