Great Cap - Why so expensive in Canada?`

I found the A.R.E. Z series cap to be the best looking cap for my 2012 Ram 1500 crew cab. It really gives the truck a sleek SUV look and has quality latches and hinges which are well integrated into the cap (no ugly outside bulges).

 Z Series Cap

The fit is very very good, but I do not know why the front of the cap is not molded to fit over the front rail of the bed . The finish is excellent, the color match is right on the money. The cap is just what I was looking for: The none boxy look of other caps and the look of a SUV. My only complaint is that the windows leaked the first rain and wash only five days old. My dealer got right on top of it, called A.R.E. and they immediately shipped out two new complete windows. My dealer is top notch, and I cannot say enough good things about him. A.R.E. also was right on top of the problem. I will highly recommend my dealer and A.R.E. to everyone.

Z Series : Toyota Tundra

I have viewed and reviewed several caps for my Tundra for almost 3 years before I finally saved up enough money for the Z series by A.R.E. The clean fit and beautiful angles make this cap noticed. Quality workmanship also was a priority of mine and when compared to other caps such as Leer,Century and Gem top, A.R.E. was vastly superior. I took pictures of other Tundra's I would see with these other caps on and noticed how uneven some of lines were along the top of the bed, which was more than likely caused by poor quality materials and or workmanship. I talked to several owners about window leaks that were common and frequent that I read about found out that this was true. Some said after there warranties were up they had to just live with them. I have driven through some heavy rain here in the northwest and glad to say not a drop has got inside. The color match is not perfect, no one's are but to the average person who is not a automotive painter can barely tell. A good coat of polish & wax once a year will keep the this baby like new. Be sure to get the drop down front window (an Option) so when you wash your truck you can dry off all the water spots in between shell and cab window.
