After selling my lazerlite tonneau cover for my 2006 F-150 Lariat Supercrew shortbed, I wanted to upgrade to a truck cap for more storage space and improved features (roof rack, ease of venting the bed, etc). My friend had purchased the Z-series and I actually liked it's look. I did a lot of research and decided to purchase the Z-series but had one question for the dealer and A.R.E.; I wanted to know if the Ford OEM bed extender would be able to flip in and out with the cap installed. I was told no b/c there wasn't enough clearance but decided to get the Z series anyways. To my surprise when I received my cap, the bed extender did flip in and out without any clearance issues. This cap exceeds all of my expectations and is a very high level of quality. I am very pleased and will recommend A.R.E. to all.
