If it is something small going in the bed I open the swing door for access, if something big goes in the whole hatch opens up for full access to the truck bed. The dealer said it was installed correctly but last year on a trip out west I experienced heavy rain in New Orleans. Everything in the bed of the truck was soaked. I went to a dealer in Phoenix to have it repaired. The dealer said the cap was not installed correct and had to be reinstalled. I paid to have it reinstalled. We had heavy rains in Arizona last year also and guess what?! Yes the cap leaked worse. Now this dealer proceeds to tell me that the cap is installed correctly and that was it. He also told me not to worry because the rain we were experiencing was out of the ordinary and it really doesn’t rain that much in Arizona! The fortunate part for me up to this is that the truck spent most of the time in the garage and was only used twice a year for trips. I called ARE and they told me to seal the CHIMSL. I did and then I proceeded to water test the cap. Well at least the front stationary window didn’t leak. I ended up solving the problem. I silicon calked ALL side windows including the vent windows. Great product? Great dealers? Great support? You have to crawl into the truck to open and close them. 2) The front sliding window will not stay closed. 3) The visibility is terrible and dangerous.
