What a piece of garbage that topper was. It didn't fit my truck, it leaked from the windows, the front corners, and from the top rack. KEN'S took it off three times, and could'nt stop the leaking. Leer took it back to their shop guess what? They said nothing was wrong with that topper. I was told that all toppers leaked, it was the nature of the beast. So to make a long story longer I raised so much crap with the dealer and Leer they bought the topper back and said they did'nt want me to have a Leer topper, makes two of us. I'm really happy with my A.R.E. THANK YOU for making a good product. With the bedrug installed it makes a great area for sleeping while camping out. With the bars installed on the top of the cap it can carry quite a load of goods while keeping the truck bed free for other large items. The one drawback is the screens on the rear opening windows, they should be made of a denser material than mesh which tends to age rather fast. Everything else is good quality which is what you pay for. I had a previous A.R.E. cap on a 1995 Silverado with the same window style and the hinge came loose and cracked on the outside. Both times I returned to the retail dealer and was told that it was out of warranty but for a big price they would fix it. Before I bought the second cap, I was told they had redesigned the hinge.
