| | | Quality dropped and Warranty Repairs are the worst, takes forever to get parts because they only ship them whever a truck with covers goes out.Z Series : Ford F150

I've owned 3 ARE covers, my dad's owned 4 and this will be our last. I have a Z series and the lines down the side are not parallel with the bed shape. The paint finish has a lot of orange peal. The cover was ordered with electric lock and light switch accessories. The wiring crossed the gasket 5 times which caused water leaks. The 3" wiring bracket was mounted where when the lid was closed it crossed the gasket causing sever leakage. It took 3 months to get a gasket because they only ship with covers to reduce shipping cost (proof they do not care about customer satisfaction, profit only). Once gasket installed, the dealer did a botch job. Left wiring crossing gaskets, did not remove all the old gasket and residue so the new gasket was stuck to the old stuff and is leaking and turning loose. Called factory wanting them to send me a gasket and I would be satisfied. Was told they could and would not do that because "their system does not allow". Was informed that no one at the factory can help me with this issue. I have to go back thru the dealer, wait 2-3 months for another gasket. Was told I had the option of finding another dealer and see if they could help. There is no other dealer in my area. The company is too big for an effective customer support center, what a shame, and it appears their quality control department in manufacturing has fallen asleep or left. My next truck will not have an ARE cover. I am going to pay for a gasket and wait months and install it correctly myself, this is an easy fix. Want it right, do it yourself. Unfortunately, Buyers Beware.
