My Z Series was recently installed on my 2018 Tacoma OR LWB and I am not impressed with ARE's QA/QC process. It was raining the day of the install so I wasn't able to do my more thorough home inspection until the next day. Once I started I found chips in the glass from the factory, one was on the lower lip of right hand side kick-out window and the other was on the bottom of the back glass. I also found 2 places where the headliner wasn't glued and as I pushed up on those areas, fiberglass dust poured out of the carpet. On the day of install, I also discovered a leak on the inside shelf of the camper where it rests on the bed directly under the right side kick-out window. I opened the window to find some black sealer was globbed on the inside of the glass where it meets the window rubber, removing that seems to have fixed the window leak. Fit to truck is OK. Their mold seems to be a little wide at the front (bed bulkhead) and sits a little canted so the lines aren't even. Cap could probably be loosened and readjusted to fit evenly but I'm leaving it alone. I also ordered the fold down front glass and as I was applying Rain-X, I noticed the rubber that holds the actual glass in place wasn't seated completely, another possible leak point so I took a plastic trim tool and had to work it in place. Although most of my concerns are cosmetic, you would expect to get better quality and finish considering the cost of these things.
