The first time it rained both windows leaked a steady stream covering the bed. When the dealer opened the right window it shattered. Two weeks later I had my topper back. The dealer indicated the window cut out was incorrect and required revision. The opposite window gasket was incorrectly installed. Yes, I do have my topper back but problem should never have occurred. Lastly no compensation for the extra trips (140 miles total for 2 round trips) and time. Despite multiple requests A.R.E. accepted no responsibility for their poor workmanship. So, the first thing I did when I got home was to wash it. The plastic ledge under the rear window is very rough and tears up any kind of cloth or sponge. You can’t use anything to wash or dry it without having to pick all the lint and other residue off the plastic. Also, this piece is very flimsy. In order to close the rear window you have to pull and press on this piece, which seems very flexy and flimsy. Over time I’m not sure how this will hold up. The dealer I bought this from is going to try to contact A.R.E. to get a solution to the finish on this piece. The finish is totally unacceptable, so I hope that this can be fixed. The keyless entry is nice, and the light options make it look like daylight back there.
