There have been a few issues. I have had to take the truck back 3 times to complete the job for starters and it is a 32 mile round trip for me. It was ordered with the clothing rack from the factory and did not have it, so I have to go back at a later date and get it installed. I also purchased a Bed Rug liner with this truck. The day the topper was installed they discovered the wrong liner had been shipped and it had to be reordered. (I realize this is not ARE's issue.) Another trip. Lastly, there is spot on the right rear side of the topper where it meets the truck and the topper window that should have been ground off before painting at the factory and was not. I mentioned it to the installer when I brought it back for the Bed Rug. I was told they could grind it off but did not have any touch up paint for it. I said to just leave it. I had a Leer topper prior to this and the fit and finish seemed to be a bit better. Z Series : Ford F150 October 05, 2017    Posted by: MM I am a many times repeat purchaser of A.R.E. toppers - trade trucks a lot and have owned several brand toppers/deck lids. The Paint finish is great and style looks good on the truck. Disappointed with the huge plastic extension to accommodate the new F150 bump out tailgate. Huge gaps on the ends with a large gap between the top of the tailgate and the plastic extension means rain pours in on the bed rug. Also the handle is difficult to operate due to the proximity of handle to the plastic extension.
