I think the fit and finish of my A.R.E. Z Topper is excellent. They did a very good job of matching the silver Sky metallic paint of my truck to the topper. Hands down I would purchase again from A.R.E. My only caution is to be very picky about what A.R.E. dealer you purchase from. Make sure that the dealer has a competent staff of installers. The install crew had to reinstall my topper because after they said it was completed, I checked the clearance between the topper and the painted bed rails of the truck and the topper was rubning on the paint. POOR INSTALL. I pointed this out to the owner and spent an additional two hours there having his "staff" install my $2000.00 A.R.E. Z series topper properly by using additional tape on the bottom of the shell where it lays in the truck. I had to explain to the installer to make sure he placed the installation tape the full length of the topper base where it meets the truck bed rail. He left a short inch on each end which guarantees a leak. The owner made it right and is a good man, he just has incompetent & poorly supervised installers. Based on this experience I cannot recommend this A.R.E. dealer. I left the store thinking how hard can it be to do this install right? The Z series topper is nice but expensive. If you buy one make sure you find out who is going to install it. If I had not inspected my 2014 CM Tundra before leaving I would have had paint rubbed off my bed rails in a matter of weeks. It would be wise for A.R.E. to address this with their retailers. And for retailers to run a tight ship on installs.
