Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

I purchased this cap after I purchased a new 2011 F350 Super Duty Super Cab truck with an 8' bed. I like the cap the color was an exact match to the truck there is lots of head room to climb in and pull stuff out. The windows are big and provide lots of light. I trial sheepdogs and travel with crates in the bed and the cap provides protection from the elements and it does an excellent job. On the down side I don't like the plastic part that covers the tail gate when you pull down the back window I think it could have been done better. It looks like a cheap after thought. In winter weather snow collects in the cracks between the tail gate & back window due to a less than perfect fit. There is a lot of flex of the cap walls at highway speeds. All in all though I think the positives far out weigh the negatives, I have two of the same caps for two different trucks the other is an 2005 F350 both fit very well. I would highly recommend this cap I have had Leer caps in the past an although they are nice I think the ARE is a better product. I would definitely purchase another one from them if I were in the market.
