Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

I purchased this product with a short lead time before I wanted to take a two week camping trip out of the back of my truck. Initial fit, finish/color match, and functionality were very good, with only one issue noted of a leak between the bottom of the lift-gate and the tailgate adapter. This leaves water pooled up on the top of my tailgate, but no water ran into the bed of the truck. I purchased this cap with a single LED light at the top of the rear entrance, a sliding/drop front window to allow for airflow and easy cleaning of the truck and cap windows, and a power port (supplied and installed by the retailer). The sliding window "handle" is actually a 2-piece glue-on part (one inside and one outside of the window, accessible from inside the truck cab); one of the handle sides came unglued from the window. The only other negative note is ease of replacement of the side window screens; wish they easily replaceable like a screen door. Interior lighting great, waterproofing was very good, and initial durability good. I'd rate this topper as a good affordable option.
