I would give it high marks for the look, the finish, the headliner. The weatherstrip was not very well thought out on this model. The tailgate smashes it against the truck bed, and it leaks badly at the junction between the tailgate and the lift door. The water wicks into the carpeting that runs along the inside flange of the cover. The dealer was not helpful, but I am thinking of driving to the next nearest dealer to get a different opinion. I think A.R.E. tried to modify the 2013 design to fit the 2014, but there were too many changes for this approach to work.

This is my fourth A.R.E. cap, and my second X series cap. The cap presents nice smooth lines with the frameless windows and hidden hinge in the back gate. The only thing I don't like is the cable release for the latches. I find that the cables stretch over time, making the rear door hard to get open. This particular cap paint color is slightly lighter than the truck, but was not objectionable enough to complain when I received the cap. Overall, I like the product, and will buy another when I purchase my next pickup.
