Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

I picked the Z series for the full glass rear window, and slam latch. The tilt-out windows don't open very far, and with the screens there's no way to clean the inside of the windows. My truck is silver, which I know is a hard color to match, especially when the cap is painted before delivery. Still, its disappointing to see how far the color is off. And when it rains, water runs in both the front and back of the bed, at both sides. I don't expect the tailgate to seal, but I would expect better results at the front of the bed. The sides of the cap wrap over the bed rails, I can't imagine water running uphill to get in. It has to be coming from the front rail. I don't know if its the truck bed, the cap, or the installation. Still, disappointing. It will serve its purpose, protecting my belongings, but I guess I can't count on keeping them dry.
