Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

I had the V-series topper installed on my truck in Dec 2011. The paint-job supplied by A.R.E. was first rate, looked good, and had no blemishes. I had to knock it down a notch due to the subtle ripples of the fiberglass towards the rails of each side, about 1/2" up. There were some bumps & ripples that I did not expect to show up. Can't see them from 20 feet away, so not a big deal. Still, it should be smoother. Also the rear door when all the way up is hitting the 2 screws on each side of the hinge, making a mark where it hits the screw heads. This doesn't seem right, and I will be taking it to the installer to ask about it. Other than those two things the topper fits great, single door handle seems to be sturdy and well made, and sliding windows look, fit and seal nicely. The LED third brake light looks much nicer than the standard-bulb kind! .
