Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

Pros: single center door handle, perfect paint match, modern look, smoked led brake light lens, almost everything. Cons: would be nice if the handle to open the side window started at the back by the door and slid to the middle instead of starting in the middle and sliding forward. Even with a short bed Tacoma I have to crawl in to open the windows. Window screens should be "pop in/pop out", not permanent. Rear handle should be upgradable to a "Bolt" brand lock (uses the ignition key instead of needing a 2nd key). LED strip upgrade is nice and bright but applied crookedly - some things are better left to robots. A few sharp unfinished edges around rear door, raw aluminum visible - should be painted or trimmed in some way. Installing dealers should be taught to water-test caps after installation prior to customer pickup, correct leaks so the customer doesn't have to come back. Other than that, I still believe this is the best camper shell on the market right now. I hope this review is read by A.R.E. and improvements are considered.
