Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

I've had my Z-Series for about a month now and I love it. Everywhere I go people ask where I got it and compliment the looks. The fit is practically flawless and the finish is almost perfect, hence 4.5 and not 5 star rating. The only issues I found was glue (or something super hard to remove) on the side windows, and the rubber flaps between the bed gate and rear hatch needed some trimming. The installer mentioned that the side windows can get stuck in the out position if you crank them out too far, which seems easy to do, and they only angle out maybe 2". This is probably not the best cap for pets in warmer weather, but I plan to install a ventilation fan on one side to better circulate air. I ordered mine with the Yakima rack, interior LED lights, power outlet, and fishing rod holder. If I did it again I would not buy the fishing rod holder since you are limited to the length of the bed (duh), but I have found other uses for it as well. About the only poles I own that fit well are fly rods. The lights are awesome and the power outlet is useful. The roof rack seems to be solid and should hold several hundreds pounds no problem, although I never actually found a posted capacity. If you want the best looking cap for a 3rd gen Tacoma this is the one to get, and it functions well too.
