Product Reviews : A.R.E. Truck Caps and Tonneau Covers

This is my second ARE shell for my second truck. Last one I have for 17 years!! The reasons I love this shell: 1) looks great with color match paint, 2) higher height version which makes the door opening larger (about 7 feet total with four wheel drive truck height), 3) Window doors on sides provide access to items stowed on sides of tray (bought tray as well), 4) MX rack on top holds 500 lbs of gear (tent poles or hay or...., 5) Kept my tailgate saving expense of larger rear door and uses my rear back-up camera (the trucks camera helps with seeing and zooming-in while hitching up my horse trailer by myself), 6) I have a long bed and the tray is worth double the cost, providing full access to the bed load without having to crawl up into the bed (I purchased a 2200 lb capacity tray that pulls out 100% for 96 inch bed), 7) left the shell without liner and the white interior really makes it bright inside, 8) fits great! I will add a hanging bar for hanging cloths for travel. This is the second truck rig that I have used this configuration. I switched to a bumper pull horse trailer recently, allowing me to get rid of the tonneau cover and get back to a shell and tray. I missed this configuration and am very happy to have it back. Tonneau cover is too load limiting in the wet Pacific Northwest. Now I can pick-up larger items on rainy days. Highly recommend this product.
