I love the truck topper with exception of the way the center latch handle operates. I had to cut the plastic cap on top of my truck's tailgate to make it easier to operate which I really did not like being forced to do. When I picked up the truck after the topper was installed, I was informed that it was common for the single handle topper locks to operate like this. It seems to me that if this is a common issue it should be addressed, maybe by make the hole for the pivot point higher on the frame for the lift gate to allow more room for it to turn.The center pivot point hit the plastic guard so severely I was afraid that it would cause damage to the pivot point. And my wife was unable to open the handle. Had I been aware of this, I would have ordered the model that had two handles, located on the outside corners of the rear lift gate of the topper.
