Very heavy duty. Like the feature that one cannot open the tailgate when tonneau cover is locked. Easy assist system performs well. A couple of minor quality issues: (1) Driver side easy assist system was mounted to cover approximately one inch too far outboard. When cover was closed, easy assist was binding and shifting rear of cover toward passenger side of truck. Moved easy assist mounting point one inch inboard. Problem solved. All is well. (2) Plastic bumper guards on underside of cover were not aligned with rubber bumpers mounted on the rails and easy assist lift. Plastic guards are attached to carpeted underside of cover with velcro. Easy to relocate so guards align with rubber bumpers. Problem solved. All is well. So, despite a couple of quality issues, this is a great tonneau cover. I purchased my second A.R.E. product and once again am very, very pleased with the results. Beware of the “value priced” or “economy” tonneaus out there you get what you pay for. A.R.E. did a GREAT job matching my paint and you can tell that a great amount of thought and planning went into the design of my tonneau. The detail/style lines and crown of the hood were replicated on the tonneau and the fit and quality of the cover are unmatched. The latch mechanism and palm handle are very sturdy and comfortable to operate. The company I purchased my cover from were very professional, courteous, and expeditious with the installation. The most important thing for me is not only the fit and quality, but the fact that my cover was made with pride in the USA! Keep up the great work and I am sure that my cover will provide many, many years of dependable trouble free service! You can tell the folks (manufacturer and dealers) take great pride in their products. A.R.E. is truly the TOP OF THE LINE FOR YOUR! It may be my last. Rivets that connect the lid to the hinge were not pushed in all the way when it was assembled. When opened, much of the weight is resting on that hinge. This is an important part of the assembly and it would have been easily detected at the factory. Instead, it became an issue for the selling dealer to repair.
