I purchased an A.R.E. LSII for my new 2012 Silverado. I purchased the lid leaving my whale tail on the truck. This was recommened by the dealer. This was a Big Big mistake. The lid had BIG gaps on both ends of tailgate from the design. They have tried correcting it by puttying between the lid and truck bed. I nor my wife are happy with the final fit. I would not recommend this style to anyone. Best bet is remove your whaletail and try a different fitting lid.

 Great Lid

Fits perfect and looks great. The only problem I have and it has nothing to do with the cover is that I can't open it all the way in my garage or a parking garage. But over all a great tonneau cover!!

 Tonneau Cover

This is my 3rd A.R.E. Tonneau Cover purchased. I have had other makes and none compare to the A.R.E. The fit is perfect, it is waterproof and closes properly without any problems. It is now the only Tonneau Cover I will ever purchase.
