 Fiberglass lid

This is my 5th fiberglass lid I have bought from A.R.E. Have not had a problem with any of them. There is a couple things I am not pleased with on my new one. 1st. They don’t have the trim around the edge like the other ones did. I think the trim gave it a better finished look. 2nd. The driver side along the top of the bed rail is crooked. The front and back looks good, but along the top of the bed, there is more space between the lid and the bed rail. This looks terrible. It is very noticeable. Passenger side looks great. It looks like they trimmed off too much or the lid is warped. I can see this every time I get in my truck. Everything else looks great. That space above the rail looks terrible

The only thing I think that could use a better design is a stronger and more secure locking device. The slam latch is nice, but the rods that lock the cap down are very weak and could be forced open with very little ease. Otherwise I love the looks and fit to the vehicle. This is my third one I have owned.

 Not as happy as I use to be

This is my third or fourth are lid. I’ve always been very happy with your product.I have always noticed a few specks of dirt in paint finish but not enough to complain. My problem with this lid was the lip all around. When I wiped it off the first time it grab my towel quite a few times. I looked and to me it looked like where carpet was not trimmed very good and paint had a few sharp edges. Whoever inspected it surely didnt run there fingers around the edge too check it.
