I have had my cover for 3 years and the electric lock has failed twice already. You are better off just getting a manual lock.

I've had a similar cap that I'd lost to a head on accident. It went with the wreck, but was not destroyed This unit I believe has many new improvements built into it. The rear door seal covers the truck gate, preventing water coming down into the inside. The hydraulic lifts feel stronger, the lock, interior & windows all seem to be a better grade. This is a great "topper" for the money & will be handed down to my son when he wants my truck.
